“Blushing is the most peculiar and most human of all expressions.”
― Charles Darwin
Blushing is thought to be the result of an overactive sympathetic nervous system. When sufferering from sudden embarassment or stress a person's face will involuntarily redden. Depending on the situation this can lead to further embarassment or stress. People who suffer from anxiety may also suffer from extreme blushing, which can lead to prolonged blushing and reddening that stretches beyond just the face.
Blushing can usually be treated quite easily with hypnotherapy combined with psychotherapy, however the blushing may be a symptom of another problem such as anxiety, in these situations it may take longer for the client to be treated effectively.
